A change back to normal

After more than a week of a sunny and dry weather pattern (yawn!), systems are going to finally start moving again this week. After a warm summer-like start, temperatures will cool down to more normal levels by midweek.

Rainfall this month so far has been on the light side...only an inch and half here at the Weather Center.

Hey, I was excited to see that the National Weather Service is talking about a La Nina forming this winter. If it does form as expected, we can look forward to a cold and snowy winter here in NE Ohio. I figure, if it's gonna be winter it might as well be cold and snowy!

Meanwhile, until that happens, just enjoy the change that is scheduled for this week.

The "end" of Summer

Summer has come to an unofficial end with the passing of Labor Day. It was a rather strange Summer with rainfall in June and July quite scarce with August beating out both month's combined. Temperaturewise, August was certainly the hottest of the three.

As for the coming week, it doesn't like it's going to be very eventful. There's not a lot of moisture around so we will see lots of sun with some clouds from time to time, but no really stormy days until possibly the end of the week.

Enjoy!
